Dear Alice.. The new Summer Wedding
In my previous post I set the stage for an outdoor wedding theme. A wedding set in a garden of delights with the simple but elegant adornments of a traditional tea party. Looking online this morning I was thrilled to find event planners really embracing the new bridal traditions. The above picture is not one that I took, and as soon as I can source its designer and owner I will post for you all to enjoy as well.
What I thought would be fun to add to this were cookies that mimicked the tea party theme. Bottles and cakes that when decorated stated "drink me" "eat me to grow taller". For children this would be especially fun since most are very Alice in Wonderland familiar.
If your children are not familiar with Lewis Carroll - shame on you ! :)
I realize the books are more teen geared as there is some darker content in the actual story. I made pixie read it at 12 with me.
In a world of lost traditions I am very pleased to see High Tea coming back around here in Atlanta. Several tea houses host casual to formal allowing you to understand tradition or relax in flavor.
